Hello there! My name is Mark and as you can see, I’m a photographer.
I was born in Scotland, but wasn’t really there long enough to appreciate the breathtaking surroundings. When I was five, my parents moved back to Norfolk with its stunning coastline and beautiful countryside. Since then, I grew up around Dereham before moving to a small village near Fakenham. A few years ago I met my wife Meryl and we now live in the vibrant market town of Harleston with our three year old daughter Niamh and our cat Erica.
I am a great lover of the outdoors. I love walking and all sorts of country persuits. I’m especially partial to a glass of Adnams outside in my favourite beer garden chatting with friends and family.
Over the past few years, I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in a wide range of projects including wedding photography, family portraits, landscapes, commercial shoots and event photography, examples of which you can see on this site.
I have been photographing weddings for over 10 years.
I haven’t always been a photographer. Photography was always my main interest and passion long before becoming my job. I have had jobs in Norfolk & Suffolk which involved being around lots of different people, sales roles, marketing, hospitality and catering. I was even a doorman in Norwich for a few years.
These various roles made me realise that, on the whole, I like people and enjoy helping them and in the main they tend to like me too!
Photography for me is all about capturing the little moments, (and the big ones!) the details and recording the day for you in pictures which will, in time, bring the memories back to life for you and your loved ones to treasure for years to come.
I always seem to have a camera close by, whether it’s one of my Canon’s or just my iPhone, its important to snap that memory to treasure and look back on. We are always taking photos. I guess when you have a child, you want to remember every single moment to keep and pass on until they get married and have their own family.
I’m always happy to meet a couple to discuss your plans, whether it’s over coffee and chocolate cake or even a glass of wine, I’ll be there.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable you’re making the right decision when you ask me to work with you, so I’m more than happy to have an initial consultation free of charge. I hope you enjoy looking through my work!
